I cannot wrap myself around what this all has become. I am saddened to know that a few unhappy parents have caused enough havoc to tear down such a staple person in this community. What is most interesting to me is the concern about “profits” and fundraising. Let’s all remember that in order to put on a fantastic event you MUST spend money. Let’s also remember that drill team competitions in their entirety are VERY expensive. I wish that people who actually were directly involved with this organization would stand up and defend the woman who has shaped so many lives… For families to uproot their lives and allow their children to participate in such a “horrible” organization is beyond me… TAKE YOUR DAUGHTERS OUT and move on – But, why ruin the lives of so many others that are happy with where they are at.
EVERY organization must fundraise… This is a BIG organization so the funding must be larger as well… Drill team competitions are very expensive… You must fundraise…. Before TKB really started generating enough funds to cover expenses, parents were offered a payment plan to cover competition costs. You don’t HAVE to pay a minimum out of pocket if you actually do the work. There are years and years of drill team treasures that were in the “know”… who were not officer parents and had nothing to lose besides their children’s support if they “turned this in”… They worked for banks, ran numerous audits of their own and kept the books in great condition. (Which set of books would that be?  I understand there were two sets) Why all of the sudden has this occurred? I have tried to put myself in your shoes for the past months understanding WHY you may be doing this – See I once was on the “inside” as well… I saw the way things ran and helped decisions be made, and NO, I cannot understand why this has been done.
DJ Jaynes shaped more lives (Into either the who’s who crowd or the nobody crowd) than you could ever imagine. She is recognized around the state for her outstanding program (teaching one to compete against yourself and cheat to win, that drill team is more important than academics, how to have and hold hidden agendas) and those who know her are honored to call her a friend.  (And those who know her well call her backstabber) She is more than just a dance team director… She is a mentor, a shoulder to lean on and one of the most valuable resources to very many. (If you are one of the favorites and your mom and dad suck up)  She is in no way shape or form doing this for the money… We all know that drill team directors at most schools make way more than she does (STARTING OFF). She does this for the KIDS…(She uses the kids to glorify her own reputation when she isn’t even the one who teaches, just throws tantrums and yells) She offers a program to the children of this community that keep them busy, teach them lessons and actually prepare them for life outside of Victoria, TX. She is committed to this community and bettering it as a whole. (I’m Sure that was the reason the doctor ran for school board)
The rumors are insane and it sickens me to see these awful things circulating… PLEASE – Victoria Advocate, if you are going to run stories like this… Interview both sides – How sad for this community and the past 32 years of wonderful dancers and their families that she truly had an impact on. HOW SAD.

Ding Dong The Witch is Dead

Well, I run out of town and return only to hear that the wicked witch out at west has been relieved of all if her hagley duties.  No more harassing studentns, no more making parents feel like their kids will pay if they dont laydown like doormats, NO MORE TEMPER TANTRUMS.  I am now wondering if she will turn in her resignation to the school board tonite.............lets wait and see.

In reading Truthferrets blog, Im not suprised a bit.  I wasnt around when the infamous Dance and Drill (seargent) Director was in school, but oh the tales Ive heard in the last 25 years.  Ive had one kid decline her team after being selected and one other walk off during the "reserve year".  I stopped a girl from committing suicide over that woman and the names she called this girl.  That same girl is still in counseling from the emotional issues caused by the infamous Victoriadore director.  If you folks had a clue what some of us have seen and most are afraid to this day to tell.  Stories of her pervert personality with high school boys.  There was one incident two or three years ago where a male student streaked across the gym stark naked for her amusement and she just laughed and laughed.  After being involved in her organization for only one semester, Yes I beleivie how ruthless she can be.
       This is what I know that may add to the confusion about the division of funds and equipment between the two new booster clubs.  First of all, she gave away perfectly good backdrops to a local dance studio owner, (a personal freind who feeds her jr high drill team onto the public school teams)  The new ones were bought.  These backdrops as well as other equipment is used at the TKB fundraiser, where no one has figured out under what name she sell BEER at school functions, with students present.  There are three bar-b-que pits, large ones, have just gone into thin air.  A popcorn machine was just given away.  Folks, all of this equipment was paid for by girls, boys and parents standing out in the heat selling raffle tickest and participating in huge fundraisers.  ITS NOT HER STUFF TO DISPOSE OF.  When if becomes competiton season,  mothers sew until the wee hours of the morning making costumes.  This fabric is usually way over ordered and the balance not used is given away to the community theatre.  AGAIN, NOT HERS TO DISPOSE OF.  If she doesnt like the way the costumes look, she scratches all the work that has been done and starts over, again with booster club money.  Now here is the trick.  Each girl has to pay a rental fee that equals to the price of the costume.  NOPE, you cant make your own or purchase it, you pay to have it made and rent it.  Then after a couple of years in a storage unit. they are donated to theatre or local dancers.  AGAIN, NOT HERS TO DISPOSE OF. 
     Several years ago, the team went to compete in Florida.  Airline tickets were purchasesd with one coming free with every 10 purchased tickets.  Now, there were several students who stayed behind because their "accounts" hadnt raised enough money to pay their way.  (after much harrassment and embarassment about being a median income family)  The FREE tickets were used by the directors daughter (a former dancer, but not what you think.  Not the art, NO NO, a stripper) and her children.  Members of other parents familes who were not of age to be a chaparone, also traveled at team expense.  Parents who voulenteered to chaparone, paid for their own tickets. 

     When she goes to competition, she has to remain in a superlarge category so she can come home with big winnings.  She does this by having JR. High age grandsons and their freinds dance.  If she doesnt win big and isnt the top dog, she throws a tantrum and leaves the trophy unaccepted.  A GREAT REWARD FOR ALL THE HARD WORK THESE KIDS PUT IN, Not to mention being cussed at and screamed at during practice for not being perfect.  She doesnt teach the team, she is physically unable.  She depends on officers to teach the girls.  She doesnt teach in her classroom either, mostly out the door on the cell phone. 

     Any of you who think she is so great, Just go to ONE West High Game and see her team dance, then go to One East High Game and watch those girls dance............tell me who has the better most original ideas. 

AND THE LAST THING, THERE ARE A NUMBER OF DECALS SHOWING UP AROUND TOWN WITH VICTORIADORES ON THEM.  IF ANYONE SEE ONE, PLEASE GET A PHOTO OR LICENSE PLATE NUMBER AND CALL JAY LESTER OR BOB MOORE.  THEY HAVE BOTH GIVEN DIRECTIVES TO HER ABOUT NOT USING THAT NAME.
